Reviews and Ratings
The hotel was in a family-focused area, providing a safe and pleasant environment with great connections to the city center. The rooms were ready early for check-in, clean, and well-equipped, but the dining options were limited. The service was friendly and efficient, adding to the overall positive experience.
The hotel is a bit outside of the center of Amsterdam but has multiple shops around it, making it convenient for guests. The rooms are quite small but offer good value for the price paid, with some limitations such as the lack of a telephone. The location provides easy access to the city center through a direct tram connection, but it may lack the vibrant atmosphere of the heart of Amsterdam.
At first glance, the modern style of the hotel rooms with a stage-like area and a spotlight creating a perfect practice space was impressive. However, my room, which was the last one at the end of the corridor, felt a bit cold and noisy, which was a small inconvenience.
I was a bit disappointed with the room as it was small and lacked proper privacy. However, considering the affordable rate at Citiez, I can't complain too much. The unannounced early housekeeping disrupted my rest, affecting my overall stay. The room should be rented out individually to avoid such disturbances.
I was pleasantly surprised by the unique room setup, showcasing cities of the world as a theme, though lacking a proper wardrobe or table. The early room readiness was convenient, and I could easily organize my belongings on the shelf provided.
I had a lovely stay at the hotel as we were greeted with a welcome hamper to celebrate our anniversary, but found the room and bathroom quite small. Room service from the lovely ladies made our stay even better.
The hotel was cozy and very clean, but the room lacked space to open the big window fully. Having only one chair for two people was a bit inconvenient. The separate bathroom and WC with a non-transparent window felt strange to us. The location was close to the event we attended but farther from the city than expected. The dining experience offered good choices and started early, which was a plus. Overall, the hotel could improve on room space and layout.
I stayed at this hotel for three weekend nights, and it was a delightful experience overall. The rooms, named after cities of the world with a full wall view of that city, were super cozy and comfortable, offering a peaceful atmosphere without any disturbance from the corridors or street noise. However, the location, while not handy for the city center, provided the convenience of being right outside a tram stop with easy access to transportation and 24-hour snacks and drinks availability. The dining options were decent but lacked variety. Despite some minor drawbacks, the hotel offers a good value for money deal.
The hotel is conveniently located in Osdorpplein, around a half-hour tram ride from the city center. The rooms are well-equipped with a safe, mini fridge, and a mini kitchenette, but could use more space for luggage. The service provided is satisfactory, and the hotel is close to tram stations and various amenities. The dining area is relatively peaceful, and breakfast service starts early at 7 am. However, the room could benefit from a larger mirror, and some amenities are limited.
